Signing Time Chatroom Rules of Conduct
User AgreementWelcome to the Signing Time Chatroom! Our chatroom is not moderated, and is available 24/7 for parents, educators, and professionals to gather and discuss the use of American Sign Language (ASL) with all children. We are a supportive group of Signing Time fans and wish to expand the numbers of children everywhere who know and use ASL. In addition, Signing Time provides regularly scheduled weekly chats, when members of the Signing Time team will be available to answer questions and chat. Times and dates of these scheduled chats are posted on the chatroom page on SigningTime.com. The weekly chats will be for parents, educators, students and professionals 18 years of age and older. In order to make this experience enjoyable for everyone, we have a few guidelines for all to acknowledge. The Signing Time staff reserves the right to revise these rules if and when it is deemed necessary. All such modifications take full force and effect immediately thereafter. The most up-to-date version of this document will always be posted online. By registering for and using this site you agree to the following guidelines: General Guidelines: Each individual who posts on the Signing Time Chatroom is asked to create and use one, and only one, account. Multiple accounts owned by the same user are prohibited.
You will need to establish a chatroom user name and password. If you have a Signing Time Forums or store user name and password, please note that these do not work for the chatroom. You have to create a separate account within the chatroom software to use the chatroom. Our webmaster is working on a more integrated solution, but in the meantime you will need separate accounts.
You are NOT allowed to let other people use your account. If you believe someone has access to your account, immediately change the password on your profile page.
This is a family-oriented site. Foul language, threats, or inappropriate behavior of any kind are not allowed.
Chatroom Guidelines:These are chatrooms for meeting and helping others, who are using American Sign Language (ASL) with their children. We will be supportive of each other, listen to each others' points of view and experiences, and endeavor to be kind and helpful in our discussions.
No Flame Wars! No Foul Language! Be nice or do not participate.
Consequences:The Signing Time chatroom staff handles rule violations on a case-by-case basis. Some possible actions that will be taken if necessary include: - Ban from Signing Time Chatroom temporarily
- Permanent ban from Signing Time Chatroom
