Thank you, Signing Time!

When we started learning Sign Language from Signing Time with our children over 16 years ago our goal was to offer early communication to our children. Our children have experienced several benefits from using sign language such as fewer tantrums, early/advanced reading skills, and a love for learning. We have used sign language to communicate during a movie, at church, and even when my children are on the bench during their hockey games. My oldest daughter has continued to learn sign language in High School and has been able to use it while at work to communicate with Deaf patrons. …

Thank you for Sign It!

Thank you so much for providing this resource! We started learning “baby signs” when my oldest daughter was a baby. She loves sign language! Our second daughter was diagnosed with hearing loss and got BAHA hearing aids around 1 year old. So I applied for Sign It and started learning ASL. My older daughter loves watching Signing Time and watching me doing Sign It. We enjoy the lesson style with stories. For the quizzes, I let her guess what is being signed. I find it really helpful when Rachel explains what the sign looks like, or why it is what …

Baby Sign Language Success

I just have to say thank you to the Signing Time family. My daughter absolutely adores your videos and has taken to signing better than we could have ever hoped for. It became evident to me when my husband was speaking to her and then added the sign for what he was saying. Her face just lit up as if to say, “so I really did get it”. We cannot thank you enough for the joy you’ve brought into our home with an increased ability to communicate with our baby!  Kelly

Signing Turns Your Child’s Brain On

All of our children have normal hearing and don’t have any behavior or physical conditions. But we wanted to communicate early with our babies, and give them the tools to communicate with us.  And it worked! When our first daughter was about 6 months old, we introduced her to the first volume of Baby Signing Time. She loved the show and began signing to us. We also signed multiple things to her.  By the time she was 1 year old, she could sign 50 words. Over the next few months, she learned 100 more! We were so impressed. It really helped …

Signing with Hard of Hearing Children

Hi, my name is Marisa and I’m a momma bear of 4 kiddos, 3 of which are HOH (hard-of-hearing), and wear hearing aids. I have 3 boys and one girl, ages 11, 8, 2 and 9-months. “Signing Time” was one of the first resources I found, over 10 years ago, when my first son was diagnosed with hearing loss. Your videos made a sometimes hard and solemn time more enjoyable and fun. They were a way to connect with my babies when I felt so disconnected from them. I am now almost fluent in sign language and am teaching my …

Signing for Success

Signing Time Testimonial by: Loretta A. Signing Time was key to making my life and my kid’s lives so much better. It gave my kids the ability to communicate long before they could speak. All the moms around me taught the basic baby signs. My kids were signing more of their needs, and I was able to avoid so many tantrums because of a new sign they learned from one of the Signing Time videos. Here was what also happened: My kids spoke long before the other kids their age, and they kept wanting to learn more. From ages 3-7 …
