Teaching Tips – to learn how to sign garden in ASL

  • Preschool games and activities that take place outside and teach about nature are great ways to encourage healthy learning! Plant a few different seeds in plastic cups. When they sprout, transfer them outside to a little garden and help your child learn to nurture the plants. Things like peas, green beans, sunflowers, and marigolds are all fairly easy to grow.
  • See if there is a community garden in your area. Bring your child to help out with some weeding or harvesting. Sign garden as you explore!
