coke is as if you are giving your self a shot in the shoulder using the 21 or L hand shape.
pepsi is i handshape making a cross infront of your forehead.
soda-pop is o handshape on non-dominant hand and putting your middle finger and thumb together into the "o" and then out of and then put closed "5" onto the "o"
I don't know or remember any others

Great descriptions, Stacy. I knew soda, but had forgotten that one!
Do you know the origins for Coke and Pepsi? They're very interesting signs!!

I agree, great descriptions! Those are hard to describe (esp. soda pop). From what I learned at ASL class, Coke sign is actually playing off of the concept that coke is slang for cocaine, a drug (hence a needle imagery). Don't know if that's true... I'd be interested to hear.

Coca-Cola's original formula had cocaine in it. They removed the cocaine entirely from the recipe in 1929.

I knew the origin of coke. I do not know the origin of pepsi. I remebered it b/c it is the same for Italy.
Stacy
thank you for the compliment on the description. I never know if I am clear or not. It tends to make sense in my mind to me, but not to others

We were shown to do it in the crook of your elbow, told that it is a throwback to COCAINE. Lovely, isn't it? But Anyka fortunately modifies it and does it on her wrist.

This one is like your non-dominant hand (s handshape) is the can of soda, your dominant hand traces the rim of the can and then your palm "pops" the top of the can.
