Is there a sign for SPICY or do you just sign HOT?
How to explain?.... We sign it like the WAIT handshape (just use your dom hand, not both) and motion (with fingers wiggling), but coming out of your mouth, palm down, with a little motion on your hand leaving your mouth, and then pulling back and repeating as needed. Exaggerations and facial expressions are used to adjust how spicy you are trying to convey.

Thanks, Jen. After I posted here I looked at my dictionary on CD from NTID and that's the sign that was there! Kind of like a dragon breathing fire :)

A very CRITICAL sign in this household; I LOVE spicy food! And so does my DD (Pringles Firey Hot potato chips being one of her favorites, sigh). Everyone says that is because I ate spicy food while pregnant. LOL.
