My SL teacher (for both adult and baby signing classes) suggests forming your non-dominant hand like you're holding the cup of yogurt; then form your dominant hand like "bird" with a closed beak, and with the hand hovering above the "cup", point the finger and thumb down and make a stirring motion, like you're holding a spoon and stirring the yogurt.
Whew! It's not easy describing signs!! I need to learn how to attach video! It'd be much easier!!! :)

That's a good description.
I have seen the non-dominant hand in the shape of a cup and the dominant hand in the "y" shape with the pinky scooping out yogurt three or four times.

But I think that MOST commonly it is fingerspelled.

a Deaf friend of mine showed me:
Make a Y with your dominant hand, put the thumb to thecorner of your mouth, and twist lightly a couple of times.

I remembered this thread when I was at my ASL class last night and someone asked the Proffesor how to sign yogurt. She said that it is most commonly fingerspelled, but that people have started to make up signs for it since it is a common food and that the made up signs vary greatlt. HTH!
