How do you sign snack?

Move the fingertips of the right F hand from touching the open left palm held in front of the chest, plams facing each other, upward to the mouth with a double movement (like you are picking up a snack to eat it)

Is the non-dominant hand palm perpendicular to or parallel (palm towards ceiling) to the floor? (Did my question even make sense?)

The sign I was taught for snack is different and in my opinion easier -

dominant index finger strokes cheek twice near chin

kind of like "peach" with one finger

Anyka uses it a LOT!

Make a G handshape then put it towards your mouth like you are eating something then quickly turn the fingers back out so they are facing away from your body.

We also use "snack" to refer to those gummi fruit snack thingies.

When we were shooting Volume #13 - We were trying to find a reliable, concrete resource for the ASL sign for SNACK. We got a lot of, "Well I use....."

We finally opted for fingerspelling it S-N-A-C-K

Well, guess you can't go wrong there - no matter what the "regional" sign may be, everyone should understand fingerspelling!
