My daughter was born 7 weeks early, and had many complications due to my PROM pregnancy. She seemed to be developing normally, but by the time she was 18 months old, she still was not talking. She was my quiet child. She would play for hours and not make a sound.

I had been teaching Kyra sign on my own as I had with her older brother, Aiden. It soon became clear to me that Ky was going to need sign as her main form of communication, rather than a supplement to it. I was searching the Internet trying to find some way to help her learn signs. I stumbled upon Signing Time Volume 1. I bought it, but was skeptical. We bought it, and watched it right away. With in the week, Kyra knew all the signs on the DVD! I was amazed. Finally my daughter could tell me she was hungry by signing EAT or she could sign dog when she saw our Akita. It was wonderful. I immediately bought the full set of 6- and also Baby signing time when it was finally released.

Now, my whole family signs. Kyra knows over 150 signs which she uses easily. She has started to speak and is saying more and more words each day. I am so thankful for Signing Time. It gave me my daughter. Through signs, I was able to discover her personality and her likes and dislikes. Her eyes would light up (and still do!) when she realized Mommy could understand what she needed.

Thank you SIGNING TIME!
