So I really love Leah's Farm but DH hates it- the songs are too catchy to him. So I hadn't watched it for weeks and then I put it in yesterday morning. Watching a video is one of the few ways DS will lay still for a diaper change. The sign for squirrel comes on and DS copies it. I squealed with delight,"Did you just sign squirrel? Show me squirrel." Then he did it again! Now it seems we have had a sign explosion. Before he would mostly only copy signs that I did after I did it. Never just on his own. Now he is using MORE and ALL DONE with out prompting. Whoo hooo I love signing time! Now we have to work on PLEASE and THANK YOU!! :D

I remember the day I put my legs across the bathtub, and Alli looked up and signed, BRIDGE! We'd only just gotten 7-9, so she picked that one up quick! Now she regularly comes up with signs that I'm not sure I've ever used around her-it's amazing how quickly she picks up on them.

We had just gotten BST, and Parker had probably only watched it 2 or 3 times. It was just before Christmas time, and we were at my mom's house. Parker (then 14 months old) walked up to the Christmas tree and pointed to an orniment and signed "horse"! He totally shocked me since I had never really shown him that sign other than watching it on Baby Signing Time! And even more, he was pointing to a toy stick horse that was made out of a red plaid material! It didn't even look that much like a horse! But he had learned it from BST.

It is amazing what they can pick up just from watching these wonderful videos! We love Signing Time! :D
