Hi,
One of the things I liked about the yahoo group was that I could check messages at the site and it was easy to do because the messages I had viewed were in a different color. Therefore, I always knew where I'd left off. Is there any way to get that here? I've subscribed to some threads and forums, but when I open them I can't see where I last was. And I usually have to scroll through lots of messages before I get to the new ones or the end.
Thanks!

When you go to your user Control Panel and edit options, under thread options, you can choose to have it show you the newest messages in a thread first.

You can also try "View first unread" in the orange box above the first post in the thread. :)

Yea, I just changed my options to show the newest message first. Also, when you log into a forum, the title of any discussion that has a new post in it will be bold. Not sure if you were asking that though. :)

Thanks for the help. I've done as you all suggested. It's a little nicer having the newest ones first, but if there are many new messages since you last checked in you still have to scroll back and find the last message you read - without it being easily noticed (like when yahoo would change the title colors of those you read.)
I guess I just miss some of the benefits that yahoo had - I know there are other benefits to this new forum, but I miss the simplicity of yahoo. :(
Thanks,

If a thread is in bold, which tells you that there are new posts on that thread since you last visited, then there will be a little box with a white "v" in it just to the left of the thread title. If you click on that, it will take you to the newest post in the thread since the last time you logged in.
It's very handy, I use it all the time (while I never use the 'new posts' link, never subscribe to threads, etc...I'm a lazy user!).
