I am an interpreting student and have to do a research paper for my Deaf Culture class. Do anyone know of any article or the like that tell the benefits of teaching hearing children ASL? I'm sure that are probably many, but I was hoping someone knew of a good one.
I would appreciate any feedback anyone might have.
THANKS!!

I did a search of the boards (realized I could after starting this post.) :o Found the one article on Visually Speaking, in addition to the ST info. Just wondering if there were anymore anyone knew of? Just looking for options.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks again, :)

Hi! You can check out Dr. Marilyn Daniels' site. She has done studies and written a book "Dancing With Words" and it is specifically about the benefits of using ASL with hearing children. http://www.marilyndaniels.com There are a couple of pdfs on her materials pages http://www.marilyndaniels.com/materials.html
You can also find some info in the research link on http://www.csupomona.edu/~apfelzer/mbr/mbr.html
Hope this helps!

Thank you both very much. You are wonderful and I appreciate your help. It is going to be hard to keep this paper as short as it is supposed to be. :)
