My 2 (almost 3) year old son asked me how to sign waterfall. I thought I'd check with the experts. Thanks in advance! :)

In ASL you would sign WATER, and then using your fingers show how it is falling. In "The Great Outdoors" Rachel shows the difference between RIVER (lots of water) and STREAM (a little trickle). In that same way you show the waterfall. It can have lots of mist or be really long off of a huge cliff or just be a little bump in a river. The ASL translation gives much more information than the English word "waterfall."

thanks, we were kind of doing it right. We came up with the sign for water and like rain...falling. :)
