Hi, there,
I posted earlier that my 21 month old twins with speech delays weren't catching on to signing (having seen simple signing since coming home from the NICU).

Well, since getting ST, Brendan (who said fewer words than Greg) has been trying to say many more words. Especially "cracker", which he now says loud and almost clearly!
They both love ST Vol. 1-3, especially the songs.

Also, when we were watching Everyday Signs, Brendan suddenly said "Uh-oh", which he has never said. Seconds later, the boy in the video dropped his cookie, and a child's voice said, "Uh-oh". I was so surprised!
I'm feeling much more hopeful about their language lately, and am trying to remember to use signs all the time, because I think they understand a lot more than they'll let on.
Thanks to Rachel and everyone here!
Alice

Isn't it fun? My 18 month old recently hit a language explosion. He is saying and signing new words everyday! He signed "more milk please" while saying "mo." And he signs "thank-you" while saying "doo-doo!" At the zoo he barked at all the animals - and then when we got home that night he would not go to bed. I went in to tell him to lay down and he looks at me and smiles and says, "COW! MOO!" That stinker knew all along what sounds the animals make! I think I have a comedian on my hands.
Watch out, I bet your twins will start saying lots of new words now.
