Rachel gives Daniel a hearing test

We usually watch our Signing Time late in the afternoons just before dinner. One evening Baby Signing Time was playing and Daniel was watching while I fixed his dinner. Then I put him at the table and the DVD was still playing in the living room. A little while later I noticed that he suddenly started signing "baby". I was confused until my husband pointed out that the DVD had restarted and the theme song was playing. I am HOH and couldn't hear it from the kitchen, but Daniel evidently could.

When the introduction to the BST theme song starts playing Alexandria starts signing and singing "Baby." She seems to have the DVDs memorized because just before the TV screen reads "Mom has a Mom" she says "Mom."

Recently when Daniel and I were watching that same episode, he signed "mom" right as it started. Before the sign was shown, but I think the word had been said. I was thrilled because to me it was an indication that he really does understand what the signs means. And I always melt when he says or signs mom. :D I waited 3+ long years for that.
