Here is the previous holiday signs thread Some of the signs are listed here. Candy cane is also listed on one of the current threads. We like to have candy canes decorate our tree so I like knowing this sign for the holidays.
Christmas is coming up. Anyone know signs for Santa, snowman, present, etc? Thanks!

I recently purchased the book "Talking with Your Hands, Listening with Your Eyes" by Gabriel Grayson. I absolutely love this book. The book is very detailed with signs as to showing and describing handshape, position, movement, and a visualizations.
Here is Winter, Christmas, Snow, Present, and Stockings. I hope this helps! - Jennifer :)
Winter
same sign as COLD.
Christmas
handshpe: right C hand
position: starts in front of the left shoulder
movement: hold the right c hand in front of the left shoulder with the palm facing left. then move the hand in a sideways arc until it is in front of the right shoulder.
visualize: the initial c suggests the word, while the motion suggests a bushy Christmas wreath.
Snow
handshapes: 1. right OPEN hand changing to AND hand or the sign for the color WHITE. 2. right and left CLAWED hands or the sign for RAIN.
position: in front of the chest.
movement: 1. make the sign for WHITE, 2. make the sign for RAIN.
visualize: snow, or "white rain," falling gently from the sky.
Present
handshapes: right and left FLAT hands.
position: infront of the chest
movement: point the right and left FLAT hands forward with the palms facing up. Then move both hands upward and forward.
visualize: offering a gift to someone.
Stockings
the same sign as SOCKS.

What about Angel? Not that this is purely holiday, but...

Angel-- both hands touch your shoulders with the fingertips then turn out ward showing the shape of an angel's wings. You can flutter your fingers as well to make it clear you are showing wings.

Here is a link (http://commtechlab.msu.edu/sites/aslweb/C/W0631.htm) to the MSU page for 'Christmas'.
For the description of 'present' above, you might want to be careful since there are at least three meanings for the word spelled 'present'. There's 'gift', 'now', and 'give to'.
Here is a link for gift (http://commtechlab.msu.edu/sites/aslweb/G/W1439.htm) specifically.
I don't know if the sign for 'present' above is incorrect, I just worry about the ambiguity and suspect that it's the sign for 'give to'.
Maybe actual holiday signs like
church
temple
hannukah
dreidel
shepherd
OH my gosh, I lost my whole long reply, by going to look something up!!! So, lets start again!
Church is ND hand is flat, and DH knocks on it with a "C" handshape, like stone.
Temple is same as Church, but "T" hand is used
Hanukkah is "4" hands both facing outward, representing the candles, thumbs touch, then move outward a bit.
Dreidel is ND hand flat, palm up, and DH in "!" outlines the movements of a top on hand.
Shepherd is Sheep + person or ND hand and arm parellel to ground, like Day, and DH is cupped with fingers up, and make a clipping motion moving up arm. Now add "Person" or flat hands facing each other a bit apart, moving down body a ways.
There is a beautiful DVD of Christmas music that isnt teaching, but shows many Holiday signs.

Not going to continue all the other Holiday signs I listed earlier and lost. But I truely enjoyed looking them up for using later.
