My son is just about 14 months old. He has no known developmental issues or anything but when I was pregnant I was determined that I would teach my child sign language...I just had to learn it first. I found Baby Signing Times when he was about 10 months old. For the past few months we've been hanging out with Rachel, Alex, Leah and Hopkins and now, while he still doesn't talk, my son now signs approximately 15 words.

Xavier has taken to signing so much that I've been making copies of his flashcards and teaching the girls at his daycare. They love it and love that he's able to communicate his needs to them. The woman who runs the daycare is now considering making sign language part of her cirriculum and my husband and I couldn't be happier.

I love that my son and I can be outside and he can point out the dog or bird to me or tell me that he wants a cracker or milk (speaking of milk, thank you for including nursing mothers as part of the series!) without getting frustrated because I can't understand. What I love most is the excitement on his face as soon as he sees Rachel on the tv screen.

Thank you Rachel and family for sharing your gifts with the rest of us...I'm sure you've been told a million times before but once more can't hurt. You are truly making a difference in the lives of families all across the world and it's amazing. I wish you much continued success and I really can't thank you enough for these wonderful videos and CD's that we can't seem to stop buying! ;)

Just wait - any day now he will have a language explosion and truly blow you away. My daughter knew about 15 signs at 14 months. Suddenly she just took off and within a few weeks had learned 50 more. I think she now knows more signs than her grandparents.

Keep up the great work! It's amazing to be able to communicate with such a young baby.
