Hope all went smoothly. Not fun! I missed it totally because we ended up at a car dealership much of the afternoon. BUT, we are now proud owners of a new Prius. :D Much to my surprise, actually. I'll post in Environmentally-Friendly.

Haven't had a root canal, so I don't know what recovery time is like. Hope it's quick, and the results are just as you hoped!!

Not so bad I must say...the "doc" was very nice and they worked as quickly as possible. I was a bit nervous at first when he asked me what tooth was causing the pain and I couldn't give him a specific one b/c I was in so much pain. He took some pictures and tapped around until I flinched....it ended up being the bicuspid on the lower left (3rd tooth from the back) which is what I thought but again wasn't sure. It was harmless though and since I read about the treatment process before I went (thank goodness for some internet material), I knew pretty much what to expect.

I am still in some pain today and I'm not sure if its the tooth still (meaning, we didn't get the source of the pain) or where the needle was injected for novicaine, so I'm hoping it goes away very soon because it's a little uncomfortable.

Good news being that I am pretty sure he got the right one but he did say that the nerve was very sick so if it wasn't that tooth that needed it (which he didn't doubt after fixing it) that it would have needed it eventually.

So, it's over and by the time I'm done with getting all this dental work done I will be able to be a dentist, orthodontist (from braces in the past), and endotist...same with my AWESOME husband who goes with me to every appointment and stayed in there yesterday with me (he's not allowed for fillings?).

Thanks for the get well wishes! If anyone has questions on root canals, feel free to send me a PM or E-mail and I'll be happy to answer the best I can....nothing to worry about and I HATE the dentist (yes! I know, strong word, but true).

I missed Friday's chat too because I didn't realize that it was Friday until my girls' physical therapist showed up. OOPS!

I'm out of school this week for Spring Break. I just now remembered that it's Wednesday night--chat night. I went into the chat room and it's all empty. :o Sigh!

They are on Thursday nights until April 30th. Then there is an extra chat on Fridays at 8:30 easter p.m. (I think :)) oooo I love to chat!!!

Yep, Chat is on Thursday's for now. I haven't been able to make it in a while and I'm so sad! I won't be there tonight either- it's coffee night with the girls. Maybe next week!
