I have to admit that I can't figure out the fingerspelling in your blinkie. I think it says "I love my xxxx", but I can't figure out the last word. :o

The font is the Gaulladet font. Here's where I got it: fingerspell font (http://www.tsbvi.edu/Education/fonts.html)

Hey, I've got a question that I hope fits here. How do you get pictures in you posts? I've seen two kinds. One little one up by a name and varing sizes in the signature. Any hints? I think I found the place to do it but it said there was a problem when I uploaded it.

To get a picture in your signature, first you need to set up a photobucket (or similar) account so that your pictures reside online. I don't know how the other services might work, but once a picture is loaded into your photobucket account, there are 3 lines below it with different types of links. Since this board is vbulletin, you will want to select the text in the first link and copy it (ctrl + c).

Then come back to this board. Look in the red header bar for QuickLinks, and select Edit Signature. (The quicklinks link seems to be available on many pages, but not when you are reading posts. It's on this reply page as I type and is on the main forum pages that list threads.) Once you're on the Edit Signature page, you'll have the same sort of text box that you do when making a post. Click the little mountain icon in the toolbar. Use ctrl + v to paste your link into the dialog box. When you do preview signature, you should be able to see your picture. Then save signature. You can also add other text before saving your sig.

When you make posts, if you scroll down below the text box, you'll see an orange bar labelled Additional Options. The "Show your signature" box should automatically be checked.

You can use pretty much the same procedure (click on the mountain) to get a picture in the body of your post.

The little pictures next to the names are avatars. Somewhere near Edit Signature should be Edit Avatar. You can't put your own picture there at the moment, but you can pick one of the existing ones.

HTH

I've not been away from the forum for a few days, and that's the ONE time there is a post about me, lol.
Yes, it says "I love my kids" The 'L' looks wierd to me, but what are ya gonna do? lol

LOL. Hope you had a good trip.

The L I figured out, but the K I couldn't get. The S I thought was an E, but if I'd had the K, I might have been able to figure it out.

I have the lilypie.com ticker on mine and I just made it at the website and uploaded a photo for that and they give you a IMG code to put on you signature. I didn't have to load to photobucket or anything.

Awesome! Thank you so much! I was wondering how people were getting those cute little things!

Thank you so much for your help! I do have a photobucket account but I don't have my pictures uploaded to it yet. I'll have to get on that and see what fun things I can do. :)

Also, on the avatars...if you can't customize it then why do some people have pictures of themselves or thier kids? Do you have to be something other than a jr. member?

www.photobucket.com is website that offers image hosting

once you create an account you can upload pictures from your hard drive onto their site...that give you an address to use when you want to post a picture on various places on the net (like this message board)

if you'd like to try it i'd be happy to help
