Hey, any of you with little signers in the new BST Vols 3 & 4...

I was just wondering if you had received your copies of the DVDs yet? I haven't and I sent an email awhile back asking about when I might start looking for my copies to come...but I've not heard back, and I've not gotten the DVDs yet. We are pretty anxious to see if my daughter Emma made any of the cuts...I hope so! Emma had so much fun at filming, it would be wonderful to have a permanent proof of her signing!

So I was just curious if I was overly anxious or if I should be worried?

Thanks...
Susan

Yeah she's in the Strollin Song. It's too cute!

I got my copies Saturday from DS being in them. Signed by Rachel, can't beat that!

Hi everyone,

I received the giftset for the Baby Signing Time! 3& 4 un-signed by Racheal, I guess that I missed out. I really love the way they did these two volumes and my so really enjoyed both of them.

Well, I would trade my one signed volume for a few cuts of my daughter in the DVDs! She did great at filming, but lost out onto the editing room floor.

I guess I shouldn't say she didn't get in at all...she had 4 clips total ... her infamous 8 seconds - literally- of fame, I suppose. She was happy to see herself...but I was so disappointed. :( Gosh, you don't realize how much as a parent you care about that kind of stuff until it happens. I guess it is good practice for when she gets older and gets cut from the soccer team or doesn't get a part in the school play...or whatever! At least I was really proud of her and thought she was absolutely beautiful and a sweet little signer!

I know how you feel! My son only made it in the Volume 4 DVD. When I watched Vol, 3 the first time I was upset and disappointed. It just bums you out when you don't see them in there, or in there as often as you thought. They had to cut one day of my sons signing because of weather, so maybe that is why he wasn't in as much. But he signed TONS more than he made it in for. The little girl he signed with was in there tons, but she also had a studio shoot which is why she was in it so much. I wish he would have gotten that chance!

They are both still so cute and I love them both! My son loves the music and already has all the songs memorized and sings along with them.

I totally get it. Before working for the company. Sarah was selected to film for 4-6. Sarah had just turned 3 and Maeghan was only 4 weeks old. She was signing up a storm and signed great for Rachel, but as soon as they turned the cameras on she freaked out. I was disappointed that the only good footage they got was of her swimming and you don't see her face.

I know as a parent our child we are are children's biggest cheerleaders.

I have also witnessed the editing process and know that it can be a very difficult job to make that decision.

I hear you, too. I am sooo grateful to have gone to the "Hometown Event" in Oct 05 when we met Rachel and the GANG. They did filming of kids throughout that day, too.

My son (three at the time) uses ASL as his home language... but when it was his turn to get filmed, he was tired from his day, and he got a little shy. He signed alot for them, but not nearly what is typical for him. He made it into four shots across three dvd's, and we love every second. What a wonderful way to preserve the memories of that day (and three years later, he looks so LITTLE to us now!!).
