Usually I take two DVDs out and let Alli pick one of the two. Well, today I had both ST videos, and she signed WHERE BABY. So, I took out BST I, and we watched it. Then, when it was done, she signed MORE BABY (usually her attention span is about 1 DVD, or less) so we watched most of BST II as well.

I guess she knows what she wants.

Longer attention span--yay! I love every milestone, but I get a little sad sometimes too. I hope they come up with a little pill by the time I start to get too old to remember everything, so I can sit in my rocking chair in the nursing home and relive every single minute!

If we can keep this forum going for 40 years or so, we could just look up archived threads and read about our kids each and every achievement. :)

Be forewarned...sometimes you gotta put your foot down and tell 'em "No!" every once in a while. Daytona would have both BST and ST running all day long if I let her. My son comes home from school begging to make sure the TV is NOT on ST because Daytona just wants to watch it all day. And her favorite word recently is "LIKE" so is she's not watching ST/BST, we're seeing her tell everyone: "I like Baby Signing Time" or "I like LMNO" (which confuses EVERYONE because they think she's talking about Elmo, whom she doesn't know about). So no matter, we get ST/BST all day long either on video or through Daytona!

ROFL! How cute! So your poor son can't get away from it :p

I only ever get to watch ST when I am visiting with my nephew, who is a bit older and has never seen BST. When I go to start the DVD player Alexandria starts signing and singing "BABY," but then it is more age appropriate for the twins. Maybe even at this young age they already have a sense of what is best for themselves.

I kind of force a rotation. Part of it is because I have a 3 1/2 year old and a 14 month old... Part of it is because my little one knows so many of the BST signs, I wanted to throw new words into the mix. He usually signs BABY TIME and I'll say yes or say "we can watch signing time, but not baby signing time right now" and once it starts, he doesn't care. :) But this morning, when it went to credits (on ST3) and I didn't turn on a new one right away, he sure let me know he was mad!

I have to rotate too, or I get way tired of some of the songs! Not too badly, but after about 17 times, silly pizza gives me indigestion! ;)

Alexandria went through a phase where the only thing that would calm her down in the car was the Silly Pizza Song. We sang it until we were hoarse, and there were additional even sillier toppings (like wigwams) on our pizza.

LOL, that's definitely a song that lends itself to a variety of versions! We should start a thread asking people how they alter that song!
