You could sign "normal" or "everyday" for the plain crackers.

I went to www.aslpro.com and plain-ordinary looks like signing EMPTY but the difference I could see was that it doesn't touch the back of the hand. Which is the middle finger or Dominant Hand sliding along the back of the NonD Hand from wrist to fingertips. In EMPTY it touches the back of the hand. In PLAIN-ORDINARY it is above the back of the hand. But go to the website its better there than my bad attempt to describe it! lol

That is also the sign for NAKED, which makes sense to use for PLAIN. I often have to stop before signing EARLY, NAKED, or RUDE because they are similar. RUDE is signed the same as NAKED but with the NonD hand palm up.
