Hiya!
I'm doing infant day care and of course doing my best to submurge them in sign. But right now all my babies are teething and it would be sooooo much easier if they could tell me that they want their teething ring. So is there a sign for "teething ring" or "teether" or "chew-ey" (which is what we usually call it)? Or would I just use the sign for "teeth" or maybe something like "cold teeth"?
I tryed getting them to tell me "hurt" and point to their mouth, but I don't think they understand their mouth is hurting, all they know is they want their teether, so it would be nice to have a word for it.
Although I have to say my babies are too smart sometimes, the other day one of them just went over to the fridge and started banging on it until I got out her teether.

When my kids needed something like that, we got specific for them... so we wound up signing BLUE RING (or blue circle) for his blue teething ring. And my daughter's was green (you get it...).

But going to the fridge and banging is way smart. Hooray.
You may want to call it his COLD TOY. Make it functional for you guys.
