Hi all, just to let you know we posted a summary of the current research on signing with hearing children. It's in PDF format and can be downloaded here:

Thanks for sharing I think it is a wonderful resource when sharing ST with others. Will it be availble on the Signing Time Kids Adult section? I think it will help those just being introduced to ST and signing through the PBS channels.

LeeAnnLeeAnn has a great suggestion/question on adding it to the ST Kids Adult section - wanted to echo that :)

Thanks, Karen/LHP team! We have been waiting for this!! I will add it to my babyshower gift for the parents to read & share with their friends and family who are curious.

Any chance you might include in shipping a little brochure or a few of those "business cards (http://www.signingtime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=371)" we forum folks keep gabbing about? I'd still rather you all did a PDF of what you'd like us to pass around than me inventing something. Don't know why I feel "unqualified"... :o ... but if you posted a PDF for us, I'd sure download, print and "hand it out like candy" :D

Yes I posted it on the kids site in the FAQ's section - As for the pdf business card I'm working on one! Plus a sign for our playgroups to use to meet up with each other! Thanks for the great ideas...keep 'em coming!!

I love a sign for my playgroup. Just another thought. What about having information on playgroup on the kids site. That way they could easily find groups in there area if they have them. Maybe just a list of states with the playgroups and an email contact for more information. I would be happy to set up a dedicated email account for my playgroup.

Yea on the FAQ, business card & playgroups sign! And, a second vote for the info on playgroups - I'd also be willing to set up/monitor a dedicated email account for the Central Ohio playgroup. Great idea, LeeAnn! (I feel like an echo chamber, but I figure my extra votes for other people's good ideas can't hurt :o )

Hmm,

so I if created some dedicated email accounts for playgroups that autoforward email to whatever the playgroup leader's real email address was, it would allow the leader to post a ST email on the site without getting your personal email all over the place...if it autoforwards to your real email, you don't have to go an monitor some other email account...

Is this useful? Let me know cause I might be able to scare up some email accounts (somethling like SigningTimePlaygroup.Pittsburgh@signingtime.com ???)

That would be helpful! That would also allow a handoff to another person as the inevitable changing of the guard happens over time. I'd certainly appreciate keeping my email address away from the last few spammers on this planet that don't already have me. LOL. I will also have to check to see if my email account allows me to change the "reply-to" to reflect that email address to keep people from getting confused. I think at least one of them does (yes, I have several already to check -- another reason I love this idea!).

You are so thoughtful and full of new ideas, Karen!
