Okay, what is an avatar? Is it a picture?
How can I get one and get it on my post? I think I will miss the old forum where everything was together, but I know this site will be easier to manage.
Congrats to Signing Time as they move ahead!!!

If you select an avatar, it will appear at the top of your posts next to your sign on name. On the red menu bar at the top of the page you can find an "edit avatar" option under the "quick links".

How do I get a graphic into my signature?
Thanks!

Use the [ I M G ] [/I M G ] tags placing the url of your graphic between the tags. But, do not add the spaces in the tags like I did.

I use MS publisher to create the webpage where my graphic is located. With that program I can resize my graphic. Or I also use Paint Shop Pro.

Can you do a custom avatar on this board, or just the defaults? I added a photo to my sig file, but I can only access the four default avatars.

So now that I know what an avatar is, where can I get a custom photo as my avatar. If this forum is eventually going to have photos of the speakers or their kids next to each post, I will stop grieving over the old group.

Hi,
Can we put custom avatars in our profile? Or can we only choose from the generic ones? If we can add custom avatars, how do we add them?
Many thanks!

There is a reply under the "how do you like the new forum" thread that explains the current set up of the avatars. They are limited now, but the board is still new and it sounds like the Signing Time crew is working to tweak it to the requests of the members as they can.
