I have a 1 year-old who loves his Signing Time videos. Is there anyone out there interested in starting a playgroup?

Hey, I'm in bham with a almost 14 mo old. I am just today ordering the dvds but I have been signing to my daughter for months on my own. She has just started signing back to me in the last week. Until then I didn't know if she was really interested, but it seems she is and is so happy I know what she is trying to tell me. She doesn't watch any tv yet but I think she might like the signing times dvds. I may be interested in a play group but I don't know how advanced your signer is. How old is your child and where in bham are you?

My son is turning 1 yr. this week and mimics a few signs. He'll also do a few when asked but we're not sure if he is connecting the meaning of them. We're in Vestavia Hills. If we can find others who are interested, my church would probably be happy to let us use the nursery. Would you be interested in a weekday playgroup or would weekend be better?

Hey Melissa,
I would prefer a weekday as I am a SAHM and it would give us something to do during the week. If others needed a weekend I would still probably be interested.

Sorry it has taken me a while to respond. A weekday would work for me too.
This past week we've seen an explosion of signs and now it's obvious he is just not copying us. It is really exciting and encourages me even more to start a playgroup. Feel free to email me at maceefranklin@yahoo.com so we can start to work out details.
