For parents whose kids refuse all videos but BST (incl rejecting ST)

I had a bit of reprieve today. Imani rejected the shirt I'd picked out for her and signed yellow. It was her first color sign and although it was clear she didn't know which color was yellow I made a big deal out of it and we spend the morning pointing out yellow things. She thought this was great fun. Then when hair brushing time came, I said "do you want the one with YELLOW" When she responded in the affirmative, I put in vol 6 and skipped the intro song and went right to yellow. She frowned a little but then got into it. I am going to try skipping the intro tomorrow to see if that works. Too bad because I love the ST theme song. But anything for a little variety!!!!

his old favorites - the Wiggles :) I think they're a bit goofy - but I was missing fruit salad :) It's been totally replaced with One Shoe...... hee hee

What a fun activity to do all those yellow things :) Imani must have loved it :)

Well, William's going to have to take an involuntary break from BST because mommy broke the portable dvd player (which is getting a big laugh from my entire household because everyone thought w/the way he totes it around, he'd be the one who would break it, LOL) and I just brought it in to be repaired. So unless he resorts to climbing the bookshelf in the tv room to put it into the player on top of the tv (which is not a far fetched idea.. he has climbed it before to get his beloved dvds), he's going to have to make do for awhile with his vhs tapes on his little tv.

Oh my goodness, Kei... Keanu and Gavin are constantly climbing the stand that the t.v. is on in their room in order to get to the DVD player and television.... I'm going to have to figure something out because the other day the t.v. came crashing down to the floor.... Fortunately, it still works... I donly know how, but..........

A few days ago, Imani actually said NO to BST. She signed Baby NO Baby No. We watched Vol 6 and she was totally happy. For two days we have watched other videos and NO BST!!!

After a glorious week of watching vol 1-6 we are back to BABY BABY BABY Baby singing time only. Ah well, it was a lovely week.

LOL!!! Sounds soooo familiar... I just don't know how kids watch or play with something (for us, it's particular noise-making toys) over, and over, and over, and over, and over, ... well, we all know.

Glad you at least had the week reprieve. Maybe holiday gifts will bring something fresh ;)

I can not wait! I tihnk the holiday will be a joyous one, brining new songs into our life! LOL

Anyka still "sings" "all done now-wash it down- with my favorite drink" at EVERY meal - and I found myself doing it at a lunch with a friend! You know you're crazy when...
