I want to start a Missouri Playgroup.

is a playgroup that chooses a different place in different areas, to visit each week. This gives us opportunity to know more about our own community as well as giving our children the opportunity to expand their environment. Current age of children are birth to 4. We welcome any Mom from any neighboring area

Hey...I am in Olathe a bit far from you...but I started up a playgroup for Johnson County. Maybe we can meet in the middle somewhere or even just bounce ideas off of each other.

I am really getting into signing time, and I am moving and looking for new play groups anyway, so I thought I'd marry the ideas and see about a Signing Time play group. I haven't found any for this area on momslikeme.com, cafemom.com, or meetups.com, so, I am going to start one June 2009. We are moving in May, so I will coordinate a meet up where the kids can free play with the Signing Time running in the background and the parents can discuss details. Anyone in the area interested, send me a message!

Details will be posted here weekly concerning the status of the new group, as well as notes form the play dates after the group gets started.

i am working on scheduling a time when i can host the play group at the local library, before regular story time. i am also waiting to hear back from a developmental coordinator at the st joseph school for the deaf to see what her thoughts are concerning concerning existing local play groups in case i missed them, and on developing a play group for a public environment like the library, and maybe even inviting occasional special guests like deaf children and their parents or instructors from the school to be main presenters.

i used to live in olathe, and i go to the kearny/holt area once a month to see family. do you have any playdates on the weekends near the end of the month? id love to come to one with my boys when we visit grama and grampa.

We usually have them on Friday mornings. But I am willing to get together anytime if I am available.

I have been looking for ANY sign language playgroup for my son since he was born. DJ is Deaf and we would like for him to play with other children who sign. Let me know if anything comes up for Kansas City Mo.
