- Great video! Review by Alison

Quality of Product Entertainment Value Price Educational Value My hearing son could both understand and sign more than 200 signs by the time he was 21 months old (thanks to Signing Time). Now that he is 3 years old, he loves the school video because it has signs for student, learn, color, number, draw, count, read, backpack, and many other signs that he can associate with things he does and sees at preschool. When I pick him up, he signs to me from the other end of the hallway what he did in school. ASL has given him confidence in his ability to communicate.

- Autistic son loves Signing Time Review by penny tait

Educational Value Entertainment Value Quality of Product Price The Signing Time DVDS are wonderful!!! My mother was an interpreter for the deaf and I started signing as a toddler in the deaf community. I have 4 special needs adopted children. My son with delays and autism understands some signs but never tried to sign back to me until he saw Signing Time. My youngest is 2 1/2 and wasn't talking or communicating ( I've had him 2 months) In the last 4 weeks since we've received your DVD's he's signing and trying out his voice. He has signifcant delays, so for him to start communicating excites all of us! My 4 y/o started kindergarten and when the teacher asked him his name he fingerspelled it... she was curious about his signs and after I told her about Signing Time .. I decided to donate a complete set to the school's library. Thank you for your animated, enjoyable teaching dvd's. Penny and family

- Fun to know another language Review by Lauri Hilburger

Educational Value Entertainment Value Quality of Product Price These are by far the best DVDs we own. My two children, 2 and 4, love them. In the beginning, they signed things like "more" and "please", long before they could speak. Now that they are both talking, we learn and use our signing knowledge because it is fun to know another language. I am returning to the classroom this fall, teaching 2nd grade, and I plan to use sign language as a way to teach words we know how to or are learning to read, as well as a silent way to control classroom behavior.
If you haven't purchased these videos, you need to give them a try. They are fabulous. Not only do your children learn a new language, but I have learned a great deal myself.
Thank you and keep them coming!!(Posted on 6/26/07)

- Fantastic!! Review by Marilyn Cooper

Educational Value Entertainment Value Quality of Product Price A friend loaned us the VHS tapes of volumes 10-13 in late June and we just wore one of the tapes out so I ordered the DVD set! My 19 month old daughter loves them and would watch them all day if I let her. She is hearing impaired, but hears enough to enjoy the music. My husband and I like to watch them too and it has really helped us with our signing. Fantastic!! Looking forward to volumes 14+ :)

- ST Teaches Manners Review by Aimee Krause
-
Quality of Product Price Educational Value Entertainment Value We love the new ST DVDs! My son, three years old, loves for me to sing the setting the table song as we set the table. It wouldn't have occurred to me to teach him to do it so young. But he eagerly learned to set the table! So cute. And we had a nice "grown-up" dinner together. I also appreciate Rachel's safety reminders when teaching everything about the kitchen. When I was making dinner tonight I signed "cooking" to him, and he promptly explained to me, "this hand the pan! this hand the food!" while signing it back to me. The neighborhood DVD has been great as well, as he is very interested in policemen and firemen and the park and all that stuff. It's wonderful to have signs for all of those things. AND (I could go on and on) he is even interested in learning to spell words. There are a handful that he recognizes (even if one of them is "Batman") and he has taken to naming the letters in signs that he sees around town. Signing with my kids has been wonderful, and Signing Time has made it so much easier to keep up with than I would have on my own (I took a few ASL classes in college). I highly recommend these and all the ST DVDs.

- Can't Wait Review by Ashley Redford

Quality of Product Price Educational Value Entertainment Value I can't wait to get this set. My babies have been watching ST since they were under a year and they are their favorite videos to watch.
We are hoping that Rachel will come up with a set that includes SAFETY around the house, in the car and at parks, and GENTLE DISCIPLINE words and phrasing for parents to begin phrasing for their children wherever they are and need the children to remember to be safe and courteous. I took some previous ASL classes so I can put words together like "I need you to listen please" or "No hitting please" or "You need to share please," but I have forgotten a lot and I am pretty sure that most parents have not taken ASL classes.
As long as Rachel is singing and signing, my babies are listening, watching and soaking up the signs for future reference. So keep them coming and we live in Northern California, so come out our way some time!(Posted on 4/24/06)

Educational Value Entertainment Value Quality of Product Price Signing Time is my son's favorite DVDs. I checked them out from the library for him when he was almost two and he has been watching them since. I just got him vol. 1-9 for his birthday and when I saw that you guys were adding vol. 10-13 I just had to pre order those. I love see how much older Alex and Leah look in each new DVD. I hope you guys keep putting out DVDs.
