I started teaching my daughter basic signs at 6 months to help her communicate her needs without all the whinning: please, more, eat, finished. Around 1 year my husband & I introduced her to singning times. Nearly one year later she can speak & sign all the words from volumes 1-3. It's great for the whole family because it allows my daughter the ability to communicate in an appropriate manner and is fun for us to learn too!
