One in ten Americans has some degree of hearing loss. Knowing a few signs can give your child the confidence to interact with a deaf child. Signing Time makes it easy and fun to learn American Sign Language. You child can communicate with sign language before she can talk. Signing Time teaches the ASL alphabet, numbers, phrases and finger spelling. Learning a second language, like ASL, can also raise your child's IQ, improve spelling proficiency, increase confidence and help your child establish critical social skills.

My First Signs is the first volume; it teaches the sign language equivalent for many “first words.” You child can work through the series sequentially or based on topics that interest your child, such as Playtime Signs, The Zoo Train or The Great Outdoors.
