Here are two easy things you can do to help make potty training more fun:
1. Teach your child the sign for “potty.”
Here’s how you do it:
- Make a fist.
- Put your thumb between your first two fingers to make the letter “T” for toilet.
- Now shake your fist a little bit!
This sign allows toddlers to tell parents when they need to go – even before they can say the word “potty.” Older children love this sign because it gives them a way to discretely tell an adult that they need to use the bathroom.
2. Watch the Diaper Dance video together!
